Normec OWSBiodegradable Packaging: Why? Why Not?
This presentation will start with explaining what biodegradation truly means. Further, the distinction between biodegradability and compostability will be explained as well as between home and industrial compostability. A second part of the presentation will discuss in which cases compostable packaging makes sense and can even be beneficial and in which cases other end-of-life options may be a better choice.

LAM'ONHow Bioplastics Can Change the Future of Print Finishes in Packaging
What are the current ecological issues with print finishes, such as laminating films and why are we not recycling laminated paper? This question can find it''s natural answer in bioplastics - the solution to minimize petroleum plastic pollution and start recycling and reusing as much of the resources we use as possible. Moving fast in the world of innovation will allow us to continue using the current print and packaging lines and enjoy the beauty and diversity of design, without compromising our ethics both as producers and users.

Morro – A Xampla brandPaper, but better – high performance natural coatings
Xampla’s coatings are designed to enable paper recyclability. These coatings can be easily solubilised and removed during the repulping process, and does not result in a material that needs to be disposed of via incineration, as with traditional polymer coatings.
