This presentation will start with explaining what biodegradation truly means. Further, the distinction between biodegradability and compostability will be explained as well as between home and industrial compostability. A second part of the presentation will discuss in which cases compostable packaging makes sense and can even be beneficial and in which cases other end-of-life options may be a better choice.
